Tribute To

     Boyd Bushman

We hope all that knew the man will offer tributes to Boyd and his world!

Boyd Bushman – A True Scientist

Science is not an institution or a body of knowledge, but an approach to learning. It is an approach that proposes to be free of all bias in order to discover underlying truth. For an observer to be free of bias is very difficult in practice, because all observers are human, and all humans are biased, even if unconsciously. We are attached to our beliefs, and we like to be right. These tendencies subvert perception of truth, even for scientists.

Boyd was in large measure wonderfully free of bias. He was willing to set aside presuppositions so his mind would be available to discovering what he did not already know. Furthermore, he could tune into his finer perceptual faculties and sense what was outside the range of his normal senses. He said that he simply “listened to nature.” Thus, nature itself was his teacher, rather than what anyone said about nature. In this way, Boyd would see what others could not. And there was a definite glee in the perception.

His remarkable ability went still deeper: He loved nature and was extraordinarily curious about it. He wanted to understand it with his heart. So it was that he achieved a sympathetic harmony that allowed nature to reveal itself to him They were in mystical resonance.

What an inspiration Boyd has been to us! I honor his memory and aspire to his example.

Thank you, Boyd, for being in our life.

Robert Bushman, a cousin

“FOLLOW THE DATA, THEORY BE DAMNED” was preached daily. I have always been one for the details and definitions and in last couples of decades I discovered that the thesaurus dictionaries is missing a definition.

Under the word “SCIENCE” there should be definition and the entry of “Boyd Bushman”.

He lived his life taking all the rules and laws of science and rewriting each step. He did not just do it in written form but by actually performing the work to show that the laws especially in the laws of physics are out dated and based on theory only.

Boyd was a mentor and a true associate when it came to exploring every aspect of science and physics.

Boyd was not only a mentor but was the best friend a individual could have have.

I have certain work that even with a team of people working around the clock trying to accomplish goals, there were times where Boyd and I spent hours on hours one on one just going over details from every angle there was and then he had the means to think of the ones we never show. Then come up with answers.

Boyd repeatedly commented there in the world of defying physics there was two individuals in the world that were “the most dangerous minds in the world” and there were myself and John Hutchison. I was honored that he felt that way about myself but I had to remind him of one fact and data point. He created one of them, me.

He would make it a point to come to where I was at just discuss and document everything we worked on and was going to work on.

Even today I still spend hours watching all the videos of himself and I going over work we had to do.

There were projects and work that we accomplished but he would put the brakes on them as far as publishing them for public exposure for he was learned over his vast years of experience that it was too advanced and would not be used for benefits but for improper harm.

Being I had actual lab work projects at my locations per his request, he would always show up no matter how he felt, especially those days where he was really having issues but he drive for the science was greater.

If I happened to work on certain steps while he was not present, when he would arrive, he would have to ask me the typical question, “Okay how many times today am I going to have say Damn you”, for I would have had time to figure out something that had us stumped. But then Boyd would have his train of thought on wanting to derail what I worked worked out.

One of my former bosses Edward Teller told me long ago when I first started working with Boyd, “Pay very close attention to everything Boyd Bushman brings to the table for you will learn more from him then anyone else in the world!” Boyd was granted unlimited access to everything and anything that I needed and felt was needing help with.

I comment repeatedly that I wish I could learn just what Boyd had forgotten for his knowledge and way of thinking was endless.

Not only the thesaurus dictionaries but all dictionaries should fine the word “SCIENCE” and Boyd's picture should be placed.

Boyd would keep track of “team” members of other associates and would stress over their security and their welfare. He commented repeatedly that his main cause was to protect me and the work we did.

He had wishes to go public over a lot of different work but he also knew the they were not ready and probably would never be ready.

I learned that when he would discuss certain subjects he had the gift of talking without talking. Those of us on the “team” knew exactly what he was saying and yet the public was totally lost to what he was saying.

Boyd was not only my mentor, associate, drive, Boyd Bushman was my best friend and I truly missing him!

To me Boyd Bushman was riddle wrapped in an enigma.  He wouldn't come right out and tell you the answers.  He made you think in an unorthodox way.  Boyd had a beautiful mind.  He had the rare ability to think and see into the future, and he did it with excitement and joy for it was what he truly enjoyed doing.  Boyd always took my thoughts and ideas seriously.  I learned a lot from him.  I know he was loved by many, and I was surely one of them.  Boyd left a large imprint on Earth to those who knew him.  He will never be forgotten.  No tribute is long enough or good enough for what he represented.  "Follow the data, theory be damned." - Boyd Bushman R.I.P. my friend.  You were a giant amongst men....God bless
